About the client: One of the 17 sections of USTA (US Tennis Association) across America, USTA Norcal is a not-for-profit that promotes, services, & administers tennis programs in Northern California & Northwest Nevada. USTA Norcal has over 50,000 members.
The need: USTA Norcal needed a logo for their month-long ¡Vive El Tenis! exhibit. The exhibit celebrated the rich history of Latinos in tennis. An exhibit goal was diversity outreach, specifically to inspire a new generation of young Latino tennis players.
Our work: We created a logo that represented the multicultural exhibit & the diversity of Latin America through the use of multiple colors, inspired by Latin American flags & symbols. After we shared sketches of a variety of initial logo ideas, the client selected the logo of their choice, which we refined & added appropriate typography.
